“ Always a superb meal at the shakk. Recently went to the newly refurbished finnieston location and had a great time. Restaurant really has a good San Sebastian feel to it. Can’t wait to come back ”
“ Phwoahhhhhhhhhh As you can see from the special menu, excellent range of seafood dishes, with an incredibly wide range of flavours. If you’re a fan of oysters you can buy them individually, and they are high quality, well prepared and well presented. A lot of eating with the eyes in here. And speaking of, the cosy nature of the restaurant makes the place feel large and intimate at the same time. Staff have a big smile on their face and are happy to cater for preferences of food and drink. The white bait is just straight up illegal. Anywhere that does fishy snacks is a big up for me! Great for catching up with friends, sophisticated family dinners or special occasions. ”
“ I was staying at my friends in East Kilbride and decided to spent a day in Glasgow and he recommended the Crabshakk. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left the staff made me feel extremely welcoming the service I had was the best ever, so friendly and really made the whole experience perfect, The food was fantastic I had some oysters to start with a side of Taramasalata with pomegranate carrots and beetroot both where amazing and then I had octopus for main which was also delicious! All in all a first class experience I highly recommend ”
“ What a fantastic dinner. I went by myself, sat outside despite it being spring rather than full summer. Service was incredibly accommodating, and the food excellent. Oysters were super fresh; the scallops in sage butter were a flavor combination I had never had before; and the red snapper romanescu was really well executed. I also had the desert, a light frangipane tart, which was really rock solid. All in all, tremendous quality without any pretention, will defo come again. ”
“ This is one of the best places for fresh seafood in all of Glasgow! Just an incredible selection of fish and preparations to suit any preference. The wine selection was amazing, too! Will most certainly be back on our next visit to Scotland! ”
“ Had a really REALLY nice meal here and was absolutely blown away by the quality of food. It is a small place so if you need a table for 3 people book in advance. All the seafood was fresh and you can tell and all comes from the west coast. Bread & Butter pudding was delicious. I shed a tear of joy with each bite! ”
“ The food was amazing and staff were friendly. They had a menu with regular staples as well as changing specials. Make sure you try both! From the staple menu, the scallops with anchovy butter were sooo good. We were going to skip carbs, but ordered bread just to get more of the butter. From the specials, the whole mackerel was to die for; make sure you're ok with eating fish with bones though. I'd highly recommend Crabshakk! ”
“ What a brilliant surprise! Awesome night out starting with great service (we booked the bar stools) & cocktails. Food choices made easier by the staff, & every dish was delicious. Favourites included the oysters, fresh anchovies, scallops & light tempura squid. ”
